Monterrey, also called “the city of mountains”, is Mexico’s most important northern city, both for its economy, productivity and work - centered culture as for its closeness to the United States and consolidated industry. This city has a constant struggle with a river that goes all across and bursts its banks every time there is a hurricane. It’s landscape - full of smoking chimneys from industry - reinvents the american way of living in a northern mexican way.

Ciudad De Las Montañas gathers 5 different approaches to a city through image. The works make a relationship between nature and our civilization’s paradigms: cars as a way of consumption, politics, industry and urbanisation as symbols of power, progress and wealth.
This works present some of the many ways of perceiving this city, to make us wonder if we are capable to find other narratives for its stereotypes.
